Hi. You might know me as the 4th grade teacher but I am also the Band Director.
I love teaching band to 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I have been the Band Director for over 15 years.
The St. Timothy Catholic School Band has quite the resume. We have performed in the East Valley Veteran’s Day Parade. We played at Seton. We also performed at Barnes and Noble at Chandler Mall. We perform at Christmas and in the Spring but our biggest event that we performed at was the Fiesta Bowl Parade. We were the youngest and only Catholic School that marched in the Fiesta Bowl. It was an honor for all of us, and we were able to show Christ’s love through music, a memory we will never forget.
I have played in Marching Bands, Symphonic Bands in Elementary School, Middle School, and College and I am now playing with the Arizona Wind Symphony in Tempe Center for the Arts. I will also be playing in a small woodwind ensemble through Scottsdale Community College. I love playing. My Dad bought me my first clarinet when I was in the 5th grade. It is a gift that has blessed me in so many ways.
Did you know that playing any kind of instrument is like learning a different language? I am thankful, honored, blessed, and humbled, that I can be the Band Director at St. Timothy Catholic School. The joy I get from seeing students' joy when they play their first note, is priceless.
